Astronaut

Personal Project

The astronaut is another project where I tried to create a realistic character for the first time. The project isn't finished yet and the skin surface as well as the hair will be reworked.

The base model and the retopology were created in Maya. Further details and details on the mesh were added with Zbrush and exported to Maya afterwards. I used an auto rigging tool to create a simple rig to pose the character and apply the cloth simulation to the mesh. The complete Groom was created with Yeti. I used maps from texturing.xyz for the skin textures and reworked them in Mari.

The clothes were textured in Substance Painter and the additional displacement maps were made within Zbrush. With the help of Arnold in Maya the look development and lighting was done and rendered.
